Ugarte, who completed his move to United from Paris Saint-Germain last month for an initial sum of €50 million (£42.3m/$55m) upfront with an additional €10m (£8.5m/$11m) in variables, was unveiled in front of the fans at Old Trafford this past Sunday during their Premier League clash against Liverpool.

The Uruguayan was in attendance as his new club faced a humiliating 3-0 defeat at the hands of their arch-rivals. However, he remains confident of bringing success to the club as he vowed to the real fans that he will deliver trophies.

WHAT MANUEL UGARTE SAID

In his first interview with the Red Devils' official website, the 23-year-old said, "I'm really excited. I've never seen anything like it before, these United fans, because, since the news first came out, they've been sending me messages. I've seen them everywhere! It also made the news in Uruguay and so I also think that the supporters, the real fans, the die-hard United fans, deserve the club to be winning trophies and that's what we're hoping to achieve."
