The Athletic’s Carl Anka has revealed the chances of a summer exit for Pierre-Emile Højbjerg.

Anka made the revelation in the form of a percentage when engaging in a Q&A session with supporters on Friday afternoon, in which he stated that he would “put it at 35%” when asked if a summer move for the Denmark international was “looking likely”.

The former Bayern Munich man has been linked with a move to Tottenham recently, with Sky Sports stating that Spurs had made the midfielder one of their top targets for the January window.

Sky Sports also mentioned that Arsenal and Everton have been interested in attaining the 24-year-old’s services.

Højbjerg’s contract with Southampton expires in the summer of 2021, and Ralph Hasenhuttl recently said that discussions over fresh terms for himself and his players would not commence until the Saints reach 36 points – they are currently on 31.

It remains to be seen what happens, although an extremely reliable source in Anka has shed some light on the chances of the Southampton captain leaving St Mary’s in the summer.
